Mission Statement

To enable guys and girls to get out diving on a regular basis by providing a network of keen divers, fun communication and opportunities to improve their diving knowledge and skill, in doing so promoting spearfishing as an outstanding and sustainable sport.

We are currently considering debating joining the NZ Underwater Association, as this will enable us to compete as a registered club, and allow individual members to weigh in world record fish.

Strategy

Encourage regular email communication (club notices, newsletters, upcoming events) amongst the crew to ensure guys are able to hook up for dives by setting up a email database. All a work in progress of course.

Communication

• Email list – so we can organize dives from a crew of keen divers
• Newsletter, by email distribution on a quarterly basis
• Club meetings – normally on the dive boat heading to the dive spots
• Club champs

We really want to promote the selective targeting of sustainable fish groups that offer a real challenge for spearfishermen to land.
