Had a couple of hours free last Saturday afternoon, so shot up to an old shore dive haunt. Didn't have the time or motivation to walk the bush track, so launched the Speedy Scollap. Dived the weed line in about 30 feet, only to discover the viz was chocolate soup. Swam around the shallows for a few minutes, and pretty much gave up and swam back to the boat. One final drop on the weedline and bingo!..........3.5kg Boarie hiding right on the edge of the weeds. If I hadn't dived right down on top of it, I never would have seen it. Out and home in 1.5 hours, and a great feed for the Whanau. - Porae
