My mate Kyle "Orca" Dransfield managed a 1.5k free swim to Piraunui Island. I towed his kayak behind mine. Spent the afternoon towing him around the weed and showing him the fish life. Nailed a snap. Plenty of school fish around - shot a koheru for sashimi - which a seagull nicked on the beach. "Orca" then determined to nail a fish, proceeded to poke this rare/endangered spotty a 100m from the beach. Top stuff. Lost half the fillet to a marauding seagull on the camp filleting bench. - Snoop
