| Hit a favourite east coast haunt last week - vis fairly hazy 6m given the NE surge over the week. Managed to find a tiny baitfish school - sure enough a fat boy Bully JD got busted circling below the sand. Nice. Swam to the end of the weedline through the shallows to start at the top with the sun behind the back. Slotted a small kingy from a school that came to visit at 10m on the sand. Dragged him quick smart into the shallows and decided the wise course of action was to clip off my catch around a rock - shark clipping the rope around two connected boulders right on the shore line Back off to the line. Plenty of baitfish - and schooling juvenile kings. And sure enough. A smell. A whiff of bacon. Yes, sensed piggies were near. There at 12m between the last clump of weed and sand - he lay. Importantly facing away. Snuck down and secured the porker. Long but skinny Gave Thominator a guided tour of the line - shame no more piggies - but training received. Noticed a dude rock hoping along the boulder coastline while out at the weed. Anyway time to race back - and pick up my earlier catch Not a sign. Not even a frayed rope. Been "peopled". Bummer. Hope they enjoyed the fish? Glad though to get out -a great summer - Snoop |
